Prior to entering a treatment center, it is sometimes medically necessary to begin with the Inpatient Detoxification program. The Inpatient Detoxification Program is designed to assist with psychological and physiological effects of acute withdrawal from alcohol, opioids & benzodiazepines. The program's purpose is to provide a medically safe, professional and supportive withdrawal experience while preparing and motivating the individual for the necessary treatment following the detoxification process. This makes for the individual to progress toward a full and complete recovery. The Inpatient Detoxification program can last from 5-14 days depending on each individual's progress.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) as well as nonmedication assisted treatment is provided depending on the wants and needs of the individual and in collaboration with the physician. This setting is distinguished by services provided in a safe, secure, facility-based setting with 24-hour coverage and ready access to medical care. This is for individuals who need round-the-clock supervision to successfully manage their withdrawal symptoms or when there are additional complications to risk factors that warrant medical supervision. Supportive counseling, as well as daily activities are scheduled for the individual once they are stabilized.
The program is staffed to ensure adequate medical and psychosocial assessment, observation and care and referrals to meet the individual's needs. Additionally, OM to Home develops and maintains a rich network of treatment providers for referrals after completion of the program to ensure the best possible match of the individual for ongoing treatment services.
Once the detoxification and withdrawal process is complete, the individual is stepped down to residential care.
